Student Package Activity Level:

Curriculum for student/participant groups seeking credit includes:
* Detailed day-to-day schedule
* Daily recording of lectures/notes/drawings in notebook that will serve to assist with grading
* Workbooks and accompanying literature 
* Instruction from highly trained and motivated individuals who offer their unique experiences to us 
* Assistance with pre & post trip projects and lectures/workshops



Days 1 & 2: Lamanai South Lodge – 3N (northern Belize - on New River Lagoon)

  • New River Safari Transfer

  • Tour of Lamanai Archaeological Reserve and MuseumRainforest

  •  Birding & Wildlife (includes Black Howler Monkeys emphasis)

  • Unique Community Service Component (Indian Church Village Development Project)

  • Ancient & Modern Maya Cooking Techniques

  • Lecture: The Maya Area: Its People, Environment, & Chronology

  • Lecture: History of Belize

  • Night Spotlight Safari

Days 3 – 5: Rio Bravo Conservation Area 2N (northern Belize, Program for Belize, non-profit)
  • La Milpa Archaeological Site

  • Rainforest Ecology - Largest protected rainforest in Belize

  • Birding & Wildlife identification excursions

  • Lecture: Belize Flora & Fauna

Days 6 –8: South Water Caye - 2N (southern Belize, Barrier Reef, off the coast of Dangriga)
  • Daily Snorkel excursion

  • Educational Scavenger Hunt

  • 1 Night Snorkel (possible bioluminescence)

  • Lecture: Fish Identification & Behavior

  • Lecture: Belize’s Reef Ecology
